A Series of Earthquakes that has shattered lives of 17 million people

On 6 February 2023, at 04:17 local time, a magnitude of 7.8 earthquake struck southern and central Turkey and northern and western Syria. It was followed by a magnitude of  7.7 earthquake in the afternoon.

The Earthquakes is one of the biggest disasters to impact the region in recent times. Tens of thousands of people have been killed and many more have been injured. Thousands of buildings have collapsed, leaving countless people exposed to unforgiving winter conditions. Schools and hospitals have been destroyed.

What IISNA World Aid did to help people affected by the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria?

• Our team along with our Director, Sheikh Abu Hamza we went on the ground and visited the afflicted areas
• We distributed money directly to the people afflicted by the crisis needing immediate financial assistance and relief.
• Provided containers for homes and other essential supplies to rebuild their lives.
